In Italian, presto means fast.

Greater Boston Realtor of the Year Marie Presti fits that description to a T. From running to Home Goods for staging accessories, to attending meetings for hard ball negotiations, Marie gets deals done efficiently and then some. She’s been known to host housewarming gatherings for her special clients and even prepares the food! (Italian is her specialty.) Marie goes the extra block. Quickly.

Marie is a passionate advocate for her clients, whether they’re buying, selling, or just want advice. She has a proven track record of negotiating advantageous deals, from the purchase of a first home, to the selling of a multi-million dollar property. In the past five years, Marie has sold more than 130 properties and helped her clients purchase over $57 million worth of real estate in Greater Boston. Her background in finance, marketing, sales and teaching provides her clients with a multi-level perspective on real estate transactions that is value-added gold.

Marie is the 2018 president of the Greater Boston Association of Realtors and has earned many professional awards, honors and designations. She is also regularly sourced by local and national media on a wide range of industry topics. In 2017, Marie graduated from the Realtor Institute, earning her "GRI" and achieving one of the highest professional levels in residential real estate. She was also selected as one of 10 residential professsionals across the country to serve on the NAR Research Committee. Additionally, Marie is active on the state level. In 2016, she was chairwoman of the Mass. Association of Realtors Mediation Committee and serves in many other capacities. In addition to her real estate proficiency, Marie’s business acumen and marketing know-how provide her clients with an extra level of competency and service. This skill set is particularly important to people selling their homes, as Marie provides in-depth analysis and a comprehensive, targeted plan of action to attract the most qualified buyers. (She has an MBA from Babson, where she focused on marketing.) Marie holds several real estate accreditations, including certified residential specialist, a senior real estate specialist and a NAR "green" agent designation. And when she’s not busy working, Marie is active in many local organizations including the Newton Historical Society, the Rotary Club, Newton-Needham Chamber of Commerce and Newton Mother’s Forum. She has taught more than 100 courses through the local community education program and knows Newton. Marie owns a home there and has lived in three of the city's villages.

Marie believes strongly that real estate is all about relationships and has had many long-term, repeat clients as a result. She's particularly adept at helping those going through a change in life, including a divorce, remarriage, birth of a new child, moving and other life-altering events. Given her own challenges over the years -- running a complex business while single parenting and overcoming critical relationship and financial hurdles -- she is particularly empathetic. Marie has learned to teach others how to make sound real estate decisions while navigating intense emotions. In fact, she is planning to write a book on her experiences and lessons learned, in order to help other women.
